Bauer, Bucio To Be Honored In Annual CPD Versus CFD Charity Baseball Game

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- It's being billed as the Bravest versus the Finest.  

Chicago Police Department's "Finest" will take on the Chicago Fire Department's "Bravest" on Wednesday for the 19th CPD versus CFD Charity Baseball Game honoring Police Commander Paul Bauer and Fire Department Diver Juan Bucio.

Whether you're cheering on the blue or the red, Chicago Fire Commander Frank Velez said the 19th annual Chicago Police versus Chicago Fire charity baseball game's sure to bring smiles to the fans and the players.

"It's actually a very fun game. It's always a very competitive game," he said.

"And on behalf of the Chicago Police Department, they will have the Bauer family through out the first baseball and on behalf of the Chicago Fire Department we are having the Bucio boys," Velez said.

Tickets are $5 in advance or $10 at the door. The game takes place Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Guaranteed Rate Field. There will be a pre-game ceremony beginning at 6:15 p.m. Free parking will be available.
