Dave Berner

Dave Berner has been with WBBM as a reporter and anchor since 2003. 

The Pennsylvania native came to make his Chicago home in 1988 as part of the WMAQ news staff after working at WWSW in Pittsburgh for ten years. He has also produced news documentaries for pubic radio stations across America. Berner has received numerous news honors from the Associated Press, Radio and Television News Directors Association, and has been honored with a Peter LIsagor Award. 

Dave is also an accomplished author, writing more than a half-dozen memoirs and novels and winning awards from the prestigious Society of Midland Authors, the Chicago Writers Association, and honored with the Royal Dragonfly Grand Prize for Literature and as a finalist for Eric Hoffer Award Grand Prize. 

He lives with his wife Leslie and their dog Sam in Clarendon Hills, Illinois.
