CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — It’s a bittersweet day for the father of a young man who lost his fight to cancer last year.

A lot has happened in the 11 months since Caleb Maeir passed away, including the naming of Caleb Field in Laramie Park in Skokie.

Now, there is a video put together by young men he met in Jerusalem at the Torat Shraga school.

David Maeir says students are challenging themselves to learn 4,000 pages of the Talmud, in his son's honor.

“It’s incredible the way Caleb has touched thousands of kids all over the world,” he said.
