CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Lincoln Park High School cannot seem to catch a break. Another staff member has been removed from the school, according to a letter sent to parents Thursday night.

Jerryelyn Jones, one of the administrators temporarily put in charge after the school’s principal and assistant principal were fired, wrote that “a staff member temporarily assigned to the school was removed after an altercation with a student.”

The letter did not provide further details about the removed staff member or the student, but added that "parents of the impacted student have been notified and supports are available to the student."

Jones said that the school and CPS remains committed to ensuring that safety and positive culture are upheld at the school, which has undergone controversy earlier this month and is going through a turbulent time amid investigations involving sexual assault, retaliation and mistrust allegations.

The removed staff member is the eighth employee to be removed from the school. Two top administrators were fired, three boys basketabll coaches and the girls coach were suspended or removed and a temporary principal who was taken out of retirement for the job was removed for allegedly grabbing a student's face that circulated on social media.
