Where To Donate Blood In Northwest Indiana

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Red Cross is facing a massive shortage of donated blood, thanks to fewer blood drives and national tragidies that required the charity's attention, according to reports. 

But there are ways to help. With the Indiana region facing one of the bigger shortages of donated blood, here is where you can donate to the Red Cross in Northwest Indiana:

Monday, Nov. 19: 

Merrillville Blood Donation Center, 791 E. 83rd Ave., from noon to 5 p.m.

St. John Township Community Center, Shererville, 1515 Lincoln Highway, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 23:

American Legion Post 485, 7485 Burr St., Schererville, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 24:

BoBB Auto Group, 13007 Wicker Ave, Cedar Lake, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Monday, Nov. 26:

Merrillville Blood Donation Center, 791 E. 83rd Ave., from noon to 5 p.m.

Hobart Community Center, 111 E Old Ridge Road, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
