At Least 6 People, Including 3 Teens, Shot On South Side

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- At least six people were wounded in a shooting Friday in Parkway Gardens on the South Side.

Paramedics responded about 9:15 p.m. to a report of multiple people shot in the 6500 block of South King Drive, according to Chicago Fire Department officials.

Two girls, ages 14 and 15, were taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, while another 14-year-old girl was taken to Stroger Hospital, officials said. All were listed in serious-to-critical condition.

A 20-year-old man, a 23-year-old woman and an adult whose age was not available were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious-to-critical condition, officials said.

Chicago police did not immediately provide additional details.
