Striking Symphony Musicians Reject 'Last, Best' Offer

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- It appears the strike by musicians of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra will continue.

The union that represents the musicians told WBBM Newsradio late Monday that members have rejected the CSO’s latest contract offer, saying it would leave them behind the orchestras of Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Earlier Monday, the CSO said it had given musicians “its last, best and final offer.”

The CSO musicians went on strike on March 10, with the labor dispute centering on pensions and salary.
