CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Published reports all but eliminate Chicago as a final contender for Amazon’s highly sought “HQ2.”

The Wall Street Journal reported Monday that the online retailer plans to build two secondary headquarters instead of one. Each office would have 25,000 workers.

The newspaper reports the finalists cities, culled from a long list that once included Chicago, are: Crystal City, Va.; Dallas and New York City.

The New York Times reported Monday that Amazon will go with Virginia and Queens.

Oddsmakers have been betting on the Virginia location as the favorite.
