(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Will the legalizaiton of recreational marijuana come to Illinois, and if so, how much tax revenue would it generate for a state government that is broke?

Greg Hinz, political writer for Crain's Chicago Business, was a guest on Monday's Noon Business Hour. His take: Yes, legal weed is coming under Gov.-elect J.B. Pritzker, who supported the initiative as part of his campaign. Illinois already allows for the legal use of medical marijuana, for patients with certain conditions.

"I think it's quite likely," Hinz said of recreational marijuana. "Pritzker's for it, the state needs money, the national tide seems to be going this direction. This is probably going to happen."
