William Barr to Be Tested for Coronavirus After Congressman Tests Positive

    NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Attorney General William Barr will be tested for coronavirus Wednesday after coming into contact with Rep. Louie Gohmert, a Texas congressman who reportedly has tested positive for the potentially deadly virus, a Justice Department spokeswoman confirmed.

    Barr, as well as many other lawmakers, was in proximity to a maskless Gohmert at yesterday's House Judiciary hearing.

    Gohmert tested positive in a pre-screen test at the White House Wednesday morning. He was scheduled to fly to Texas with President Trump, Politico reported.

    Other members of Congress who have tested positive for coronavirus are Reps. Mario Diaz Balart (R-Fla.), Neal Dunn (R-Fla.), Morgan Griffith (R-Va.), Mike Kelly (R-Pa.), Ben McAdams (D-Utah) and Tom Rice (R-S.C.) have tested positive for the virus, along with Sen. Rand Paul (R-Tenn.).
