Drunk Man Robs Burger King Then Continues Partying at Hooters

It was a Whopper of a crime.

A California man has pleaded guilty to robbing a Burger King after using the cash to buy drinks at a nearby Hooters restaurant.

Back in September, Ricardo Garin-Perez drunkenly stumbled into the burger chain’s Williamsburg, Virginia location and demanded money from an employee behind the counter, reported Fox News.

After yelling expletives, the 36-year-old grabbed $300 from the cash register and fled the scene, but not before dropping $80 on the floor.

According to his lawyer, Garin-Perez committed the robbery in order to pay for a hotel room for the week.

Upon realizing that his newly acquired $220 was not enough cash to provide a roof over his head for seven nights, he decided to splurge on some more drinks at Hooters.  You gotta make the best of a bad situation, right?

But that would eventually add to his criminal behavior, as he received a citation for public intoxication that very night.

Two weeks later, Garin-Perez was arrested for robbery of a business.

Now that he’s entered his guilty plea, his next court date is April 15th for a pre-sentencing hearing.

Unfortunately, you can’t always have it your way at Burger King.

In related news, the company is offering a steal to travelers over the holiday season.

Between December 18 and December 30, airline passengers at any airport in the United States can earn a coupon for a free Impossible Burger Whopper if their flight is delayed.

All you have to do is enter your flight number in the “Delay Your Way” option in the Burger King app and then proceed to the nearest restaurant to partake in your complimentary meatless reward.
