CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The biggest golf event in Chicagoland is just weeks away, the BMW Championship, part of the Fed Ex Cup Series, this year to be played at Medinah Country Club.

The event, once known as the Western Open, has been held mostly in the Chicago area every year. The 2020 tournament will be held at Olympia Fields CC, site of the 2003 U.S. Open. In the last 20 years, Medinah has hosted two PGA Championships, and the memorable 2012 Ryder Cup.

WBBM Newsradio's Dave Kerner recently spoke with Vince Pellegrino, Senior VP, Tournaments-Western Golf Association. They discussed the upcoming tournament and what spectators can look forward to as the top 70 golfers in the world play for a title.
