CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Police say they've recovered the car used in more than a dozen armed robberies on the North and Northwest Sides over the weekend.

WBBM's Steve Miller reports.

The car was reported stolen on Friday, according to investigators who say it was used in armed robberies in Albany Park, Old Irving Park and Rogers Park.

It was in Rogers Park where the car – a 2005 Nissan Sentra -- was recovered.

Police say they have been questioning two juveniles in connection with the robberies, which occurred Sunday overnight and into Monday. As many as two others may also have been involved.

In one of the incidents, authorities say, an intended victim was able to take a gun away from the robbers.
