CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The NFL draft begins April 26th and the Bears have the 8th pick. Will they keep it or trade it? And if they keep it, who does WBBM Newsradio Bears' analyst Tom Thayer think they'll pick?

"What's the biggest need for the Chicago Bears to get to the playoffs and win a Superbowl?" Thayer said of the Bears' priorities with the 8th pick.

Thayer added that when you take everything into consideration from the hiring of a new head coach to sticking with Vic Fangio as defensive coordinator and what they went out and did in free agency, "There's still need a huge need at inside linebacker."

A member of the 1985 Superbowl Bears, Thayer believes the Bears should keep Jordan Howard despite some rumors they might trade him.

"I think you're fortunate (the Bears) to get a durable, big four yards plus contact back like Jordan Howard."

And despite the Bears upgrading at their weakest position, wide receiver, Thayer exclaimed they need to address the position in the draft.

Thayer doesn't have a mock draft of his own but he knows who he would take. To find out, listen to the interview.
