CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO)  --  Rhymefest opened the 60th Annual Air & water Show show Saturday at 10 a.m. with a tandem jump with the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team.

Chicago's own rapper Che “Rhymefest” Smith landed at North Avennue beach in a jump he said he dedicated to his late grandfather, George Smith. He is also planning to perform a rap later in the day, according to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times.

The Chicago Air and Water Show is the largest FREE show of its kind in the United States. The show can be viewed along the lakefront from Fullerton to Oak Street, with North Avenue Beach as the focal point.

Remember to take a radio to the lakefront this weekend. WBBM Newsradio will have live play-by-play coverage of both days.

We’ll also have a live video stream on our website and the WBBM Newsradio Facebook page.
