CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A couple of light-hearted calls for police in the western suburbs happened recently and they involved farm animals.

Sounds like straight out of an old Larry Lujack Animal Stories bit, but police in West Chicago rounded up two calves that had been seen around Routes 59 and 64 on Wednesday.

On the department’s Facebook page, a couple of people jokingly asked if they could have them. But, their owners were found and now they’re back where they belong.

In Naperville recently, meanwhile, three horses wandered from a Bolingbrook pasture and ended up in a grade school field. One of the horses was microchipped and the owner was located.

Naperville PD jokingly posted they’re happy to report no humans or horses were injured during the adventure.
