Man Fatally Stabbed On CTA Red Line

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A man is dead after he was stabbed while riding on a CTA Red Line train in Chinatown Saturday afternoon.

Investigators said the man was stabbed by another person with whom he was having an argument on the train.

Police said witnesses told them the man who was killed appeared to be intoxicated when the argument began.

Investigators said the attacker then fled the train at the Cermak-Chinatown station and remains at-large.

Police said the man who was stabbed died at the scene.

For a time trains were not stopping at the Cermak-Chinatown station as police were investigating the killing.
