CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A 30-year-old man fatally shot himself after being involved in a traffic crash early Sunday near Garfield Park on the West Side, according to police.

Officers responding to another crash noticed the collision at 1:51 a.m. in the 400 block of South Hamlin Boulevard, Chicago police said. A witness reported hearing a gunshot coming from the vehicle that struck another vehicle.
