Man, 26, Shot To Death In East Garfield Park: Police

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A man was fatally shot Friday morning in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, according to police.

The 26-year-old was in a vehicle about 8:30 a.m. in the 200 block of North Hamlin when someone walked up to him and began firing, Chicago Police said.

He was struck multiple times and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has not confirmed the death.

Area North detectives were conducting a homicide investigation.
