CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The excitement continued in Rogers Park Sunday, when fans packed the Gentile Arena to welcome home the Final Four-bound Loyola Ramblers.

Fans filled up about 80 percent of the arena Sunday afternoon and put out ear deafening cheers when players walked in. Sister jean was first, followed by a coach Porter Moser and the rest of the team, which was all smiles. Moser said their journey has been made that more special when they return to Chicago and see they support they've earned.

"I can't tell you what this means to us," Moser told the crowd. "To come in and see the maroon and gold and see the city of Chicago lit up. How proud are you?"

Loyola beat Kansas State 78-62 on Saturday night to advance to its first Final Four in 55 years.

Players told fans it's been one hell of a ride, and that they're happy to make Chicago proud, and this is what they've been dreaming of.
