CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A Michigan man who lost his son six years ago traveled to Chicago’s West Side today to meet the person who has his son’s heart.

Tears streamed down Craig Clark’s face as he held a stethoscope to Taquan Hamilton’s heart and listened to his own son’s heart beating.

“It means a lot.  A part of Jonathan lives on through other people,” he said. “He saved four lives.”

WBBM asked what he heard when he listened to his heart.

“It was joy. It was precious to finally hear part of my son living on through others. It’s amazing.”

His son, Jonathan was 15 when he died.

Taquan Hamilton was 15 when he received his heart.

“This is a special moment for me. It just feels amazing -- gave me a second chance at life,” Hamilton said.

Two others who received the boy’s organs were also part of this meeting.
