CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Harley-Davidson thinks it's found a way to attract a lot of applicants for one of its summer internships.

Harley-Davidson is offering an internship where students leave with more than work experience. The company is looking for eight interns to spend the summer riding motorcycles and chronicling their experiences on social media.

And Harley-Davidson's Heidi Skinner said at the end of the 12-week internship, they get to keep the motorcycles.

"We want them to document everything that they are doing over the summer, experiencing riding, events and we want them to show everything on their social media channels and ours," said Skinner.

"We are turning kind of a mundane right of passage into a true lifetime experience, not only with real world working experience, but experiencing motorcycle culture and hoping that kind of proliferates beyond the summer to the rest of their lifes."

The program is open to recent university graduates, as well as college sophomores, juniors and seniors, who want to pursue a career in marketing or social media.

The deadline to apply is May 11.
