CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- If you ever wanted to go to a Chicago Cubs game, but could not afford tickets, now may be your chance!

The Chicago Cubs are hosting a lottery program offering $10 tickets to every regular-season home game in the 2018 season.

The 10/Sixty Tickets program offers 60 lower-level terrace seats priced at $10 inclusive of taxes and fees for all 2018 regular season home games.

How to enter?

Fans can enter the lottery by submitting an online registration form for the game they wish to attend. Registration opens 48 hours before the game starts and closes 24 hours before the first pitch of that contest. Those entering the lottery can request up to four tickets for purchase. Fans can visit the 10/Sixty Tickets website or use the MLB Ballpark app to enter.

So why $10 and 60 seats?

The 10/Sixty Tickets program was named in honor of Wrigley Field's famed address: 1060 W. Addison St.

The goal of the program is to expand the Cubs' fan base to a younger group and/or others who may not have the means to obtain tickets at regular prices.

“With the team’s continued success, Cubs tickets have become harder than ever to get,” Cubs President of Business Operations Crane Kenney said in a statement. “In the spirit of our ‘Everybody In’ campaign, the 10/Sixty Tickets program helps address the cost and limited availability of Cubs tickets. The 10/Sixty Tickets program will allow us to engage and grow our fan base by welcoming new fans who may not have access or the ability to acquire tickets through traditional means. During this new era of Cubs baseball, we have a great opportunity to develop a special connection with new fans that will hopefully grow over time as they share this experience with friends and family."

Fans will be randomly selected in a drawing and will receive an email a minimum of 12 hours before the start of the game with their opportunity to purchase up to four tickets and instructions to complete the purchase with the same MLB.com or Cubs.com account used when initially registering for 10/Sixty Tickets.

Given the excitement and demand for the Cubs' home opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates Monday, April 9, fans can already register for the game starting Wednesday, April 4, through Sunday, April 8, at 1:20 p.m.
