September 29, 2018 - 11:48 am

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) --  Temperatures dipped overnight, bringing frost to the north-central and far northeast suburbs, and while the area may flirt with more freezing temperatures this weekend, a midweek warmup is expected to thaw chilly fingers and toes.

WBBM AccuWeather forecast calls for sunshine Saturday with highs near 60 degrees. Saturday night could bring some drizzle and rain, with lows around 52.

Sunday could be warmer with more rain. Highs may hover just under 70 degrees. Bears' kickoff temperature is expected to be 65 with plenty of drizzle.

The workweek begins with fog that will burn off later Monday, bringing highs to 70 degrees. A shower or thunderstorm could be headed to the area overnight.

Tuesday will bring much of the same, but Wednesday could bring surprises.

Expect unseasonably warm weather, sunny and breezy, with highs around 83 degrees.
