CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Earnest Radcliff's Wolfpack homecoming game was heavy with emotion.

For the past 21 years, the team has played football on its Jackson Park field.

This weekend, boys as young as eight took to the field facing what is likely their last homecoming game at 61st and Stony Island. They've known for a while that they would be displaced by the Obama Presidential Center. But now construction on their new field, just blocks away, has been halted over debates about what to do with 40 mature trees standing on the property. And it's not clear when -- or whether -- construction will resume.

That made this weekend's game all the harder for them because, for football players, home needs to be more than where the heart is.
