CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- One of the biggest games of the Bears season will take place Sunday night at Soldier Field, with the Vikings visiting town for a prime time tilt.

The Bears (6-3) and Vikings (5-3-1) will battle for control of the NFC North, which the Vikings won last year before making a deep playoff run.

Both teams have stout defenses that will seek to control the game. For the Bears offense, that means staying ahead of the chains and avoiding as as many third downs as possible, with the Vikings having the best third-down defense in the league, Bears play-by-play writes in his keys to the game.  The Bears' defense will look to control the line of scrimmage in an effort to disrupt Vikings QB Kirk Cousins, one of the most accurate passers in the league, Joniak writes.

The Bears enter their prime time matchup boasting a mostly clean bill of health. The biggest inactive on Sunday is tight end Dion Sims, who is out with a concussion. Taking his spot will be second year tight end Adam Shaheen, who missed the first nine games of the year with a foot injury.

"These are the game you live for," Mack said after practice Friday. "You want to be in that spot where you can clinch this thing down the line. It's going to be a game that could very tell the story towards the end of the season. We want to win these."
