CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Republican and Democratic candidates for Illinois Attorney General have met for their only televised debate.

Democrat Kwame Raoul and Republican Erika Harold sat down with moderator Carol Marin on WTTW/Chicago Tonight.  Marin asked for their short answer-views on a couple of issues.

MARIN: "Personally, Miss Harold, do you support or oppose abortion rights?"

HAROLD: "I'm pro-life, but I believe in upholding the law."

MARIN: "Senator?"

RAOUL: "I support it."

MARIN: "When it comes to personally supporting or opposing same-sex marriage?  Senator?"

RAOUL: "I support it. I voted for it."

HAROLD: "I don't oppose same-sex marriage and I would do nothing to undo it."

On gun control: Erika Harold says she supports a ban on bump stocks. And would not ban all assault weapons.

Kwame Raoul says he favors banning assault weapons. And he, too supports a ban on bump stocks.
