The day’s final shooting happened about 9:05 p.m. in the South Shore neighborhood. A 38-year-old man was arguing with someone in the hallway of an apartment in the 7000 block of South Merrill Avenue when the other person pulled out a weapon and shot him in the face and leg, police said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
