CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The Lincoln Yards development on Chicago’s Near North Side will be the site of another drive-in movie theater.

WBBM Newsradio’s Mike Krauser reports, you better get tickets fast.

The Drive-In at Lincoln Yards, located at 1397 W. Wabansia Ave., opens next Thursday, June 25 with “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” showing all weekend long.

The Drive-In will be open Thursdays through Sundays throughout the summer. Check in begins at 7 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m., with the show beginning at approximately 8:45 p.m., depending on sunset.

Cars will be spaced 10 feet apart. Patrons can sit in lawn chairs. All guests will be required to wear a mask or facial covering when purchasing concessions or using the restroom.

The Davis Theater and facets are partnering with Sterling Bay and the 2nd Ward to open the drive-in in the Lincoln Yards, as well as other locations in the city.

The cost is $35 per car and the sound will be trasmitted through AM radios. Tickets are available on the Davis Theater website. Capacity - at least at the beginning - will only be 30 cars.

This is the fourth drive-in in the city or nearby that have either opened or are in the works. The others are in Lincoln Square, Pilsen, and Bridgeview.
