CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- There's lots of high tech and cool gadgets at the National Restaurant Association Show taking place at McCormick Place, but it's not all glamorous.

WBBM's Jim Gudas hit the show floor.

Sure, there are the latest web apps to attract customers, and everything from fine wine to delectable pastries on display at the restaurant expo.

But a lot of people are also stopping by Russell Robillard's Perma-Drain booth, where he's selling the latest in drainage.

Robillard said a restaurant filled with wastewater from backed-up drains is definitely not sexy.

Another popular booth Monday: Chicago's own Vienna Beef hot dogs.

Vienna Beef's Tom McGlade says they're teaching the world how to make a proper Chicago hot dog – without ketchup, of course.
