CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Democrat Kwame Raoul is fending off more attacks from his Republican opponent for Illinois Attorney General, and throwing some rhetorical punches of his own.

WBBM Political Editor Craig Dellimore reports from the Loop.

Harold is linked with a website called It’s designed to portray Kwame Raoul as almost one with Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan, the Republican Party’s perennial boogeyman.

The website created by her campaign has an ominous look, with dark clouds crossing the computer screen, and the scowling faces of Raoul and Madigan. Written under that: "Two career Politicians. One Failed agenda."

Raoul counters Harold was recruited by Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner to run and has full GOP backing. He said he’s an independent-minded lawmaker from an independent district.

Raoul spoke with reporters Friday as he received the endorsement of Planned Parenthood.
