LISLE, ILL. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Lisle police now say that Lisa McMullan and Gregory Rieves, a retired Illinois State trooper, did not attend the same high school.

Earlier reports stated that McMullan and Rieves, both 51, attended Proviso East High School in the 1980s.

It's still unclear what the relationship was between the two other than they both frequented the Humidor Cigar Lounge in west suburban Lisle. Illinois state Sen. Kimberly Lightford also went to the Maywood school and spoke to CBS 2 Chicago about Rieves.

"And we're saddened by the loss of our friend and the way that we honor him is by coming together and giving each other the love and support that we need," Lightford said.

Police said McMullan had a valid FOID card and concealed carry permit. She also had no criminal record.  Police are waiting until tomorrow to interview the other two state troopers they said were shot by McMullan before she turned the gun on herself to give them time to heal.
