CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Mick Jagger took to social media to say he is recovering after undergoing heart surgery.

The Rolling Stones postponed their tour last week because Jagger needed to have medical treatment, though details were mum on the reason why. Now we know a little more, and a spokesperson for the band said Jagger is expected to make a full recovery.

The 75-year-old underwent a heart valve procedure called TAVR at a New York Hospital, Billboard and Rolling Stone reported early Friday.

On March 30, the Stones abrutply announced they were putting their No Filter on hold but encouraged those who already bought tickets to told them tightly. The band still plans to perform in the U.S. and Canada.

Fans responded on Twitter to share delight about the news and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
