Man Robs Northbrook Bank

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) – A bank was robbed Monday afternoon in suburban Northbrook.

A man in his 30s entered a Fifth-Third Bank branch at 1300 Meadow Rd. about 4 p.m. and demanded money, the FBI and Northbrook police said in statements.

Officers responded to the bank and searched the area with a K9 unit, police said. The suspect was wearing glasses, a black and white Bears hat, a gray sweatshirt and jeans.

Northbrook police are working with the FBI, which is investigating the case. Anyone with tips is asked to call the FBI at 312-421-6700.
