CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A 24-year-old man is in custody following a series of stabbings on the West Side that have targeted middle-aged victims just off Roosevelt Road, authorities announced Monday.

Chicago police aren't yet saying if the victims knew their killer, or if these were random assaults.

The attacks began Nov. 13, when a 57-year-old woman was discovered dead off Taylor and Sacramento, a few blocks from Roosevelt Road. Two days later, another victim was targeted a few blocks off Roosevelt, in the 1100 block of South Keeler; the victim was a 64-year-old man.

And on Nov. 20, a stabbing at Roosevelt and Christiana killed a 58-year-old man.

All three victims suffered multiple stab wounds.
