CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago mayoral candidate Ja'Mal Green is urging Attorney General Lisa Madigan to stand firm on her insistence in the consent decree that police officers document every time they point their weapons at someone.

Mayor Emanuel and Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said there could be problems if police officer have to record each instance of pointing a weapon at people. But, young mayoral hopeful Ja'Mal Green, said it's important to know if officers are drawing their weapons when they don't need to.

"We need to know how trigger-happy our cops are. We need to know when our cops are pulling out their weapon and really figure out those situations so that we can understand our training too," he said.

Mayoral candidate Ja'Mal Green is the guest on our At Issue program this weekend, and you can hear more of his thoughts Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.
