Sometimes tidying up is a crime!

A Massachusetts man returned home to find someone had broken into his house and cleaned it. Mom, is that you?

Nate Roman was with his five-year-old son when they arrived home to find their door had been unlocked.

“Nothing was damaged, nothing was taken … just arranged in a really creepy way," the 44-year-old  told NBC News

Roman said he could smell cleaning chemicals and his son’s normally messy room had been completely organized.

"Rugs were vacuumed, everything was neat and put away," he added.

After realizing every room in the house except the kitchen had been cleaned, Roman called the police.

Police spoke to neighbors, but there are no leads or suspects in the case.

"No crime happened, nothing was missing or damaged, so the police have very little to go on," Roman said.

While Roman had a security system with cameras in place, it was not turned on and no alarm went off. Door sensors were able to determine that whoever was in the home stayed for 90 minutes.

After finding roses made from toilet paper in the bathroom, Roman believes the persons responsible may have been from a cleaning service that had the wrong address.

The entire incident left Roman a little shaken and he’s since changed all the locks on the house

“I am trying to look on the bright side like, ‘Well at least I got my floors done and my bathroom cleaned,'” Roman said. “It’d be nice to know, but I might never know what happened.”
