(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – A controversial children’s entertainment center in Norridge has agreed to terms that will keep it open, despite complaints over unruly adults.

By a vote of 4-2, the village allowed owner Jerrold Marks to keep his business license to continue operating Go Bananas, with a series of provisions.

These include having uniformed guards at all times and having them armed after 5 p.m. on weekends, holidays and school vacation days. He’s also obligated to hold training twice annually for employees, have an on-duty manager and cameras throughout the complex that can provide video to police.

Marks said he would accept the terms. Video of a fight from earlier this year went viral, and prompted scrutiny from village leaders.

Only one person at Wednesday’s meeting spoke out against letting Go Bananas stay open.
