CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Several French Bulldogs are in Chicago, and they will be looking for a home.

More than 20 French Bulldog puppies are being treated at Chicago area animal hospitals after being rescued from an overheated moving van in Texas.

The Humane Society of the United States sent the dogs here after they were discovered when the van was pulled over for a traffic violation.

Authorities say the temperature inside the truck was 112 degrees.

One puppy was found dead and four others later died.

All of the surviving animals will be up for adoption. Chicago French Bulldog Rescue has been posting updates on Facebook.
