(670 The Score) -- Shut out from the Pro Bowl last season and dismissed by voters in recent years, the Bears will send five players to Orlando for the NFL's all-star showcase game.

Bears linebacker Khalil Mack, cornerback Kyle Fuller, safety Eddie Jackson, defensive lineman Akiem Hicks and running back Tarik Cohen were all selected into the Pro Bowl as part of a vote by fans, coaches and players, each accounting for one-third of the ballot.

As the Bears finished in last place each of their previous four seasons, they mostly missed out on the Pro Bowl honors. They did not have a single player voted in last season or selected as a replacement and have sent only six different players to the Pro Bowl since 2014. Now, the Bears are bound for the playoffs and their team success is being recognized with individual honors.

Mack has been selected to his fourth career Pro Bowl having been selected each of the last three seasons with the Raiders. This marks his first with the Bears. He has 12.5 sacks, six forced fumbles and a pick-six in 12 games this season. In 2016, Mack was named AP Defensive Player of the Year, an award for which he is again a candidate.

Mack is the only Bears player voted to the Pro Bowl who has previously been selected to the game, with all the rest of their selections in for the first time.

Now in his fifth year with the Bears, Fuller was selected to the Pro Bowl as part of a career year he is enjoying. He currently is tied for the league lead with seven interceptions, one short of his total from three seasons prior.

The second-year safety Jackson was selected after recording six interceptions and two defensive touchdowns in 14 games this season. He also has 50 tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery returned for a score this season.

A player considered to be snubbed in previous seasons, Hicks earned his first career Pro Bowl selection as voters took notice of his importance to the Bears' defense amid its revival. He has posted six sacks, 11 tackles for a loss and 51 total tackles in 14 games this season.

The versatile Cohen earned his place to the Pro Bowl as a specialist while enjoying a stellar second season in the NFL. He has posted seven total touchdowns this season, including five receiving. He has caught 68 passes for 710 yards while rushing 88 times for 405 yards this season. Cohen has averaged 13.3 yards per punt return this season.

Seven Bears were also selected as Pro Bowl alternates, including quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, tight end Trey Burton, tackle Charles Leno Jr., linebacker Roquan Smith, center Cody Whitehair, linebacker Danny Trevathan and linebacker Leonard Floyd.

The Bears could conceivably have addition players added to the Pro Bowl roster as replacements. The game will be played January 27 at 2 p.m. CT from Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
