CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Melting ice continued posing a danger to drivers and pedestrians Friday in Chicago.

Two women were hit by falling ice in separate incidents. The first happened during the morning rush when large chunks of ice fell from a high rise, hitting a woman in the Loop, near Madison and Dearborn.

In the afternoon, a woman was hit by ice falling from a building in the Uptown neighborhood near Lawrence and Broadway.

Both women were transported, one to Northwestern, one to Illinois Masonic, officials said.

Both were reported in good condition.
