MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (670 The Score) -- The Dolphins have been forced to turn backup quarterback Brock Osweiler against the Bears on Sunday, ruling out starter Ryan Tannehill with a shoulder injury.

This news became official as the Dolphins officially set their inactives 90 minutes prior to kickoff at Hard Rock Stadium. Tannehill went down with a shoulder injury late in the week of practice.

Osweiler is 2-0 in his career against the Bears, earning a win in Chicago as a member of the Broncos in 2015 and again in Houston as the Texans' starter a year later. The Bears enter this game a much different team from their past matchups with Osweiler, currently occupying first place in the NFC North and seeking a 4-1 start to the season.

The Bears' inactives are cornerback Marcus Cooper (hamstring), fullback Michael Burton, outside linebacker Kylie Fitts, tackle Rashaad Coward, offensive lineman Bryan Witzmann, receiver Javon Wims and defensive lineman Nick Williams.

The Dolphins' inactives also include defensive end Cameron Wake, running back Kalen Ballage, cornerback Bobby McCain, linebacker Martrell Spaight, tight end A.J. Derby and defensive end Charles Harris.

Kickoff between the Bears (3-1) and Dolphins (3-2) comes at noon CT from Miami.
