CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- CTA will resume rail and bus service Wednesday morning, but trains and buses will continue to bypass stops in the Loop.

According to the Chicago Transit Authority, CTA bus and rail service will resume through the downtown area at 5 a.m. Wednesday. Trains will bypass some downtown stations, including Jackson (Red and Blue lines), Clark/Lake (Blue, Brown, Green, Orange, Purple and Pink lines), State/Lake (Brown, Green, Orange, Purple and Pink lines), Lake (Red Line), Grand (Red Line), and Chicago (Red Line).

Due to local street and bridge closures, multiple bus routes will be rerouted in the downtown area, the CTA said.

The CTA advises passengers to visit transitchicago.com to see the latest alerts about CTA service.
