(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Former Chicago Bulls guard Craig Hodges called out other black celebrities with ties to the Windy City for not lending their voices to help solve problems facing the African-American community here.

He made his remarks at an event Thursday on the South Side, WBBM Newsradio’s Mike Krauser reports.

Hodges also questioned how the NBA can go back to playing, in its “bubble,” amid all these problems.

“Our people are dying,” he said. “This is the most critical time in American history, where black men have an opportunity to change the direction of our people. And this ain’t no game.”
