CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago’s top cop says the city is ready to deal with any issues that might arise at this weekend’s Air and Water Show.

Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said he doesn’t want to bring down the great mood surrounding the Air and Water Show by talking about the consequences facing anyone who misbehaves.

"Enjoy it but enjoy it responsibly. If you don't, we will hold you accountable," Johnson said.  "But I want to see everybody enjoy our city, enjoy the show and have a good time."

Johnson said you’ll see more uniformed officers in and around the Air and Water Show viewing areas.

But what Johnson said you won’t see are the undercover officers who have also been deployed, unless you do something that warrants their attention.

As for the biggest problem Chicago Police see among Air and Water Show spectators, Johnson sums it up in one word… alcohol.
