CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago Police say they have identified a "primary person of interest" in the death of a 64-year-old cab driver.

It’s been a difficult week for the family of cab driver Anis Tungekar.

"We prepared his body according to Islamic rituals, and it was a very heartbreaking scene to put my father into a shroud into his casket, the way he was,” his son, Omar, said Thursday.

That’s because his father died after being in a fight in the West Loop and suffering brain damage.

"I think the worst part of what happened is that he was killed doing what he had to do, working on a Sunday to try to pay the bills,” Omar Tungekar said.

He said his father was an immigrant from Pakistan and moved to Chicago in the early '80s.

Chicago police said they’re waiting for evidence testing.
