(CHICAGO) -- It was a dream come true for a suburban boy with a life-threatening disease.

Finnegan Kuzniar of Westchester on Sunday put on a black costume and worked with Chicago police to take on some bad guys at Navy Pier as the hero Galacto.

Make-A-Wish Illinois put together the wish day for the six-year-old who has an auto-immune disease that puts him in the hospital several times a year and requires he get monthly infusions to stay healthy.

After riding in a police helicopter, fire department boat and a vintage squad car, Finn slugged it out with the Joker and another bad guy, T-Storm, who's secret identity is Finn's older brother.

Superman, Batman and Spiderman were there to participate in the fight and spray Finn with silly string when it was over.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Police Supt. Eddie Johnson congratulated Finn for his courage and saving the city.

Dozens of friends, family and perfect strangers cheered on the young superhero.
