Body Of Missing Joliet Boy Found

JOLIET (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The body of a teenager missing since an accident on the Metra Rock Island Line on Wednesday was found and positively identified today, according to Metra.

The body of Charles G. Cooper, 15, of New Lenox, was spotted in Hickory Creek near Gardner Street in Joliet, about 3.5 miles downstream from the scene of the accident, by a Joliet resident at about 2:20 p.m. Metra Police, Joliet Police, the Will County Sheriff and the Joliet and East Joliet Fire Departments responded and coordinated on recovery efforts.

Cooper was one of two teens struck by a Rock Island Line train near Pilcher Park Nature Center, near Highland Park Drive and Lincoln Highway, on Wednesday night. The body of Jacob

Manka, 17, was found near the tracks Wednesday night.
