October 28, 2018 - 10:00 am

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- After dropping a close game to the AFC East leading New England Patriots, the Bears will look to rebound against another East Coast team as the take on the New York Jets at Soldier Field Sunday at noon.

The Bears have dropped two of their last games and are looking to right the ship against an uneven Jets team that features a rookie quarterback in Sam Darnold. Preying on a traveling Jets team thinned out by ijuries gives the Bears an advantage to take of early, Jeff Joniak writes in his keys to the game.

The Bears, however, are dealing with their own injury problems, as star pass rusher Khalil Mack (ankle) and receiver Allen Robinson (groin) are listed as day-to-day heading into Sunday's action. The team is taking a cautious approach to the players even as the Bears enter a crucial stretch of their season.

After major defensive struggles the last two games, the Bears will look to blanket Jets QB Darnold and smother the team's depleted receiver corps. Offensively, Bears passer Mitch Trubisky will have to keep an eye on the Jets' complex blitzing schemes.

The game represnts one of the best opprtunities for this young Bears' team to establish some winning habits ahead of what will be a competitive finish for the top of the NFC North division, writes 670 The Score Bears writer Chris Emma.
