(670 The Score) Second-year safety Eddie Jackson won Thanksgiving Day for the Bears, and now he's being recognized for it.

Jackson was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week following his clutch performance in Detroit. He recorded three tackles, two passes defended and the fourth-quarter interception of Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford returned 41 yards for a touchdown, which proved to be the difference in the Bears' 23-16 win at Ford Field.

Jackson has recorded a pick-six in each of the Bears' last two games and now have five defensive touchdowns in his first 27 games, the most by a player in his first two NFL seasons. Jackson is second on the Bears with four interceptions this season.

The Bears have now had a player named NFC Player of the Week for three consecutive weeks, with quarterback Mitchell Trubisky earning NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors in Week 10, kicker Cody Parkey earning NFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors in Week 11 and now Jackson earning the defensive honors for Week 12.

For Jackson, it's the second time in his young career he has earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. He also was recognized during Week 7 of the 2017 season, this after scoring two touchdowns in the Bears' 17-3 win over the Panthers last season at Soldier Field.

The Bears (8-3) travel to New York to face the Giants (3-8) this Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
